Privacy Policy
अपडेटेड: 23 अक्तूबर 2026
This policy explains what personal data CyberYukti collects, why, how long we keep it and how you can control it. It covers cyberyukti.com and the LawBook app (the "Platform"). Edure Labs, Pratapgarh, is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your data.
We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
In short: you can read the whole Platform without an account. We collect only what an account or a feature needs, we do not sell your data, and you can download or delete it yourself at any time.
1. What we collect, why, and for how long

|---|---|---|---|
| Name, email address, password | You create an account | To sign you in and contact you about your account | Until you close the account |

| App usage events (screens opened, app version, device model, approximate country) and crash reports, linked to a random app ID and, if you are signed in, your account ID | You use the LawBook app | To see which features are used and to find and fix crashes. Never your name, email or what you type. | Usage up to 14 months; crash reports 90 days |
| A notification token for your phone | You install the LawBook app | To send the alerts you can turn off at any time | Until you uninstall the app |
We do not collect your passwords in readable form; they are stored only as secure hashes by our sign-in provider. We do not collect bank, card or UPI details, Aadhaar numbers, biometrics, contacts, location or call logs.
2. Our legal basis
We process your data with your consent, given when you create an account, add details or use a feature. We also process it for legitimate uses allowed by the DPDP Act, such as keeping the Platform secure or meeting a legal obligation. You may withdraw consent at any time (section 7). This stops further processing but does not affect what was done before.
3. On your device (LawBook app)
- Your sign-in session is kept in your phone's secure storage (Android Keystore).
- Pages you have opened and PDFs you download are stored on your phone for offline reading. You can delete them from Profile → Manage downloads, or by clearing the app's storage.
- The app asks for access to your photos or camera only when you choose a profile picture.
- The app shows ads from Google (AdMob and Ad Manager), Unity (ironSource Ads and Unity Ads) and Meta (Audience Network). They use your phone's advertising ID to show and measure ads; you can reset or delete it in your phone's settings. CyberYukti Premium removes these ads.
- The app may ask to show notifications, for new laws, judgments and fraud alerts. You can say no, or turn them off later in your phone's settings. Alerts you receive are listed in the app's Notifications screen, kept only on your phone.
- The app uses Google Firebase to count how features are used and to report crashes, as described in section 1.
4. Cookies and similar technology (website)
| Type | Purpose | Can you refuse it? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keep you signed in, protect forms from abuse, remember language and theme | No; the site needs them to work |
| Local storage | Remember your recent searches on your own device | Yes, by clearing site data |
| Advertising | Set by ad networks such as Google, when ads are shown, to show and measure ads and in some cases to personalise them | Yes. Use your browser settings, or Google's Ad Settings. |
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract, and only as much as each needs.
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, sign-in and file storage |
| Unity Technologies | Advertising in the LawBook app when ads are shown (ironSource Ads and Unity Ads, through Unity LevelPlay) |
| Meta Platforms | Advertising in the LawBook app when ads are shown (Meta Audience Network, through Unity LevelPlay) |
| Hostinger | Website hosting and our contact mailbox |
| Resend | Sending sign-in and account emails |
| Sign-in with Google; Firebase app analytics, crash reports and notifications in the LawBook app; and advertising when ads are shown |
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or to a government agency authorised under section 69 of the IT Act. We may also disclose it to protect someone's safety, or to a buyer as part of a merger or sale, who must protect it as this policy does.
6. Data stored outside India
Some providers store or process data outside India. For example, our sign-in emails are sent through servers in Japan. Transfers follow the DPDP Act and any restrictions the Government of India notifies under it.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may:
- Access a summary of your data and how we process it. Download it yourself from Account → Privacy & data → Download my data.
- Correct, complete or update your details. Edit your profile at any time.
- Erase your data. Delete your account from the website (Account → Privacy & data → Close account) or the app (Profile → Delete account). This removes your profile, photo, saves, notes, history, quiz scores and newsletter subscription. We keep only what the law requires us to keep.
- Withdraw consent, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter or removing an optional detail.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapable.
- Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (section 12). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
We answer requests within 90 days, and usually much sooner. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
8. Children
The Platform is meant for adults. A person under 18 may create an account only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian. We do not track children's behaviour or target advertising at them. If we learn that we hold a child's data without that consent, we delete it.
9. Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS with HSTS). Access to data is limited by database-level rules, so each reader can reach only their own records, and only a few authorised staff can reach our systems. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
10. Links to other sites
The Platform links to official and third-party websites, such as cybercrime.gov.in and India Code. Their privacy practices are their own.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post changes here with a new date. For significant changes we will also tell you by email or on the Platform.
